2020 VSJ Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
Tasting notes
91 points, Vinous
Hand-picked from select rows between Block 2 and Block 3, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is bold and intense with vivid red fruit and robust structure. Aromas of fresh berries, clove, and rhubarb intermingle with spicy undertones of whiskey barrel and cinnamon. On the palate, this layered, full-bodied vintage offers hints of lavender and pencil shavings along with caramel, red currant, and dried mulberry. The tannins are firm and chalky hinting that this wine will only improve with age with a drinking window through 2035.
